Coin machines in Tainan
A pressed coin is probably the cheapest souvenir of a day out: insert a coin, turn the crank, done. In Tainan there are 7 locations for it with 25 known designs. You will mostly find them in these corners: Museum / Ausstellung / Erlebniswelt, Shopping / Souvenir / Laden, Verkehrspunkt / Bahnhof / Hafen. Well-known spots are Anping Tree House/ Former Tait & Co. Merchant House A2, 七股鹽山 Qigu Salt Mountain, 安平老街 Anping Old Street Tainan. Almost everywhere you pay with coins – €1 or €2 per pressing.

What to bring along
The machines take coins, usually €1 or €2 per pressing.
Newer machines also accept contactless payment.
Tokens are usually sold at the till on site.
You won’t need an extra coin for pressing there.
Payment and blank details aren’t available for every machine yet – additions from the community are welcome.
